Gilbert and I had such a fun time in Park City last weekend! We didn't get up there until late because we stopped off at The Cheesecake Factory for dinner on our way. We bought 4 pieces of cheesecake to eat during our vacation- Kahlua, Key Lime, Tuxedo, and Lemoncello. YUM!
Friday morning we set off for the outlets. We shopped for quite a while and found several great deals. Gilbert found a few things and so did I. We managed to finish up our shopping without getting anything for the kids!
After a nice afternoon nap (Who get to do that anymore!?) we headed to Cafe Rio for a quick dinner then to the movie theatre to see Harry Potter. It was fantastic! After, we took a dip in the indoor adult relaxation pool (no kids splashing around) which has a nice hot tub, 2 sauna's and a waterfall at one end of the pool. It was really nice.
Saturday was our DAY OF FUN! We headed into Park City Mountain Resort to ride the Alpine Coaster and the ZipRider zipline. 
It was hard to get pictures because once I was close enough to anything I had to pack up my camera. The Alpine coaster track zig zags through the trees and down the mountain. The track going up the middle is what tows you to the top before you're left to cruise back down. Boy is it FAST! You're able to control the speed with hand brakes on the cart. We weren't going to use them until half-way through when we definately felt like we were going to fly off the tracks (totally impossible to do). A tiny slow down hardly took away the thrill. It was AWESOME!
We took the ski lift up the mountain to ride the Zip Rider all the way down. It's kind of hard to see the zipline, but it's 5400ft. long. I have no idea how high up you start from but it's quite a ways. I was nervous about the initial drop, but it was so FUN! You really do feel as though you're flying. You glide through the air so smoothly and fast. The wind just rushes past you and it almost sounds like a jet plane. It was really cool!
We never got a chance to ride the Alpine Slide because of long waits in the other lines. My advise- don't go on a saturday!

We used to go to Park City every summer as our family reunion w/Jeff's family. It's so pretty there and the slide is so fun!
What was the occasion? I'm glad you got a chance to get away!
