Kitty pictures

I'm finally getting around to posting some pics of these cute kitties. They seemed to do just fine over the weekend while we were at the family reunion. But I think all the excitement of us coming home freaked Nija out a little bit. This morning when I got up the kitties were gone. I didn't panic. Nija hides them when we don't leave them alone. A bit later I went looking for them and found them perfectly content in the corner of my closet. I moved them into the kitty bed and placed it under my bed. They've been staying put most of the day. Now that their eyes are opening and they're getting a little stronger, they're trying to venture out. I think tomorrow I'm going to have to find a box that they can't get out of. Nija moving them is one thing. Them scampering around the house is completely different. As soon as they all have their eyes completely open and not looking like pirates I'll take more pics. But here's their 1 day old pics for you to see.

Here's Mama Nija. She wasn't really in the mood for a picture- do you blame her!? The kittens names (for now) from left to right are Cookie/Cocoa; Edward; Smeagle; and Brutus.

Here's a cute little pile of kittens. I love how they sleep and crawl all over eachother. See the one laying across the top? Yup, that's Brutus.

This is Smeagle or Smeags as I like to call him (her). She's got female parts, but I still call it a him. I dunno why. She's definately my favorite. She's the runt and still noticable smaller than the rest. Whenever I get the chance I make her eat so she'll get bigger. I keep telling Gilbert that she's going to have to stay, but he doesn't agree. I hope I win this one. Isn't that face so cute!? She's got one eye open now- hence the reason she looks like a pirate.
