Chocolate Chip Pancakes
I was right, my kids do love me! I haven't heard so many thank you's in a long time. As usual, 5 o'clock rolled around and I had no idea what to make for dinner. Gilbert and I have some running around to do tonight so I decided an easy meal for the kids would be great. But when I reached for the pancake mix the box was close to empty. Can I just tell you how much I love foodnetwork.com? There have been many a days that I've drawn up a recipe on my comp. set the laptop on the counter, and cooked a yummy dinner. Tonight when I googled 'pancakes' I got chocolate chips pancakes. Now some of you might say it doesn't sound like a very good dinner. But you know what? No one complained, and everyone cleaned their plate. To me, that's a good dinner!

Ahh, thanks for reminding me. Last weekend I was making pancakes for the kids. I had the thought to make them chocolate chip...I was very excited. Then, something distracted me ( I can't imagine what...) and I completely forgot about the pancakes being chocolate chip pancakes until I read your post! Maybe I'll remember next time. It sure is fun to surprise the family sometimes.
